The converter station weighs 22.000 tons and is as tall as a 15-story residential building.
Due to the weight of the unit, China Three Gorges used a floating method of towing installation, utilizing the ships' ballast and natural tides during the process.
The China Classification Society (CCS) provided authentication and search services for the converter station. The CCS team was involved during the design, construction, transport, installation and commissioning stages of the project.
The Rudong offshore wind farm comprises three areas: the 8 MW H300, the 6 MW H400 and the 10 MW H400.
In June, China Three Gorges Renewables completed the installation of 100 single-pile foundations in phase H6.
The 100 4 MW turbines in H6 are expected to be ordered by the end of 2021.
Once fully commissioned, the 1,1 GW Rudong offshore wind farm will produce 2,4 billion kWh annually, according to China Three Gorges.
New portable wind turbine at the price of a cell phone generates energy rain or shine, has a useful life of 20 years and could revolutionize the generation of renewable energy in the world
Wind energy: suitable for urban and rural environments, new portable turbine priced at a cell phone is powerful, safe for children, pets, wild animals and birds. The mini wind turbine developed by startup Avant Garde Innovations, from India, can help families in isolated regions and also people who want to save money on electricity. The new energy generator has a low cost, a useful life of 20 years and could revolutionize the generation of renewable energy in the world!
The turbine created by the startup Vanguard Innovations it is 3 meters in diameter and is ideal for homes, businesses and rural areas. The maximum power generation capacity is 5 kW/h, at a wind speed of 5,5 m/s, and it costs only US$ 899 (or R$ 4.827), less than cell phones like the iPhone 12.
The turbine called AVATAR™, generates energy day and night, whether there is rain or sun. It features low maintenance, generates clean, reliable renewable energy with a 2-year warranty and a 20-year lifespan.
The new turbine can still be installed in a short time in a small area on the ground or on the roof. The equipment has no forecast of when it will be available for sale in Brazil.
