With the aim of developing a new generation of young professionals in cyber security of the country, the technology giant Cisco Brasil, signed this partnership to benefit students from Technical Schools (Etecs) and Colleges of Technology (Fatecs) in the state, as well as individuals who are studying or have already completed secondary, technical or higher education, interested to specialize in the field of cybersecurity. This is the first phase of the program, the 30th anniversary edition of the Cisco Brasil CiberEducation Marathon. The course offered by Ciso and Faetec is divided into phases and will offer professional training to students, as well as internship and job offers. 

The first phase is the Learn-A-Thon, a training marathon that aims to stimulate and train students in the NetAcad exploratory course “Fundamentals in Cybersecurity”. Remembering that students who go through this phase, in addition to receiving a certificate and a digital badge, will be eligible to apply for scholarships for the next phases of the program.

Open to the general public, the first stage of the free course features self-learning in which participants can proceed at their own pace to complete the Fundamentals of Cybersecurity course (30h). Students who complete the marathon will receive a certificate and digital badge.

Requirements charged to follow up: 

• Interested in working in the cybersecurity segment. 
• Have access to a computer and Internet connection with minimum capacity to develop practical virtual activities (Computer: i3 processor, Windows 10, 4Gb of RAM and 27GB of hard disk. Internet: 5Mb).

To continue to the next stage of the Marathon, it is It is necessary for the student to have a certificate of completion of the Marathon course – “Fundamentals in Cybersecurity” and be among the top 1.500 in the selection test focused on general knowledge of IT, Networks and Cybersecurity, as well as interpersonal skills.
