The Classic Ford Pickup Has Gained A Hybrid Version That Is Already Available In The Brazilian Market, However, The High Price Draws Attention
Despite the new hybrid version of the Ford Maverick having an almost identical appearance to the conventional FX4 version, even featuring a discreet emblem on the bed that indicates hybrid propulsion, the new Ford pickup comes with a fully turbocharged version in the Brazilian market. Thus, behind this discretion, the first hybrid pickup launched in Brazil delivers a remarkable feat: solid performance combined with low fuel consumption, according to the Vrum website.
Although it has a slightly higher price compared to the Fiat Toro Ultra, the most sophisticated monocoque pickup from the competition, the Ford Maverick Hybrid is offered at the same price as the conventional FX4 version. It is up to buyers to assess their priorities before purchasing the Ford hybrid pickup. Check the price:

Regarding the technical specifications of the pickup, it is worth noting that the hybrid propulsion technology is not of the plug-in type. It is a conventional system where the combustion engine drives the wheels and recharges the lithium-ion battery. Thus, the pickup operates in fully electric mode only in low power demand situations, such as parking maneuvers or traffic jams.

However, in the pickup, it has an Atkinson cycle and the combined power, including the electric motor, is an impressive 194 hp, with a torque of 21.4 kgfm. These numbers are more than enough to propel the 1,700 kg of the pickup, all with very low consumption.
Ford Maverick Hybrid: Energy Efficiency In The Spotlight
The Ford Maverick Hybrid achieves impressive consumption figures, according to the parameters set by the Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (PBEV) from Inmetro. Recording 15.7 km/l in the city and 13.6 km/l on the highway, both using gasoline, the hybrid pickup stands out for its efficiency.
It is important to emphasize that hybrid vehicles have the advantage of consuming less fuel in urban trips, where the electric motor can operate independently for extended periods. The combined consumption reaches the mark of 14.6 km/l in the new Ford pickup.
With a 57-liter fuel tank, the autonomy of the Ford Maverick Hybrid pickup can exceed 800 km, depending on driving style and usage conditions. This feature offers owners exceptional freedom, allowing them to cover long distances with less need for refueling. The hybrid pickup thus stands out as a sustainable and efficient option for those who value conscious fuel consumption.
Performance Of The New Ford Pickup
