If you want to be an officer in the Merchant Navy, 180 vacancies are being offered between Belém and Rio de Janeiro, registrations can be made until June 16, 2019
With projections of an increase in Merchant Navy activities in the coming years, mainly with incentives for cabotage and exports/imports, the Navy decided to train another large group of officers to serve this market through EFOMM.
Offering 100 vacancies for the EFOMM of the Almirante Graça Aranha Instruction Center (CIAGA), in Rio de Janeiro – RJ and 80 vacancies for the Almirante Braz de Aguiar Instruction Center (CIABA), in Belém – PA. The registration fee is R$ 68,00 and runs until June 16th and the tests will be applied on August 17th and 18th.

At EFOMM, Officers are trained in two course options: Nautical and that of Machines. Both in the nautical and machinery courses, students study at the School on a boarding basis for 3 years. The course will have two periods and will be developed in eight semesters, namely:
- Academic Period: composed of six academic semesters in boarding school, with exclusive dedication of the student and structured in an annual serial system, divided into two semesters; It is
- Probation: comprising two semesters embarked for the Nautical course and one semester embarked for the Machines course, fulfilling supervised internship.
