The company Parkwind informed, during this Wednesday, June 22, that it closed a partnership with Intrakat, headquartered in Greece, for the supply of offshore wind power plants. In all, according to members of the institutions, it is estimated that energy production is at least 1 GW when added to 4 plants already built in Germany.

Also this Wednesday, June 22, Greece said it would be investing more than 1,5 billion euros for the energy transition in the country towards the use of wind and solar energy. A large part of the amount invested would be allocated to companies, at lower interest rates, that were interested in reducing the existing dependence on the use of fossil fuels. Therefore, Intrakat should receive these incentives to finalize its partnership with the Belgian offshore giant, Parkwind.

The Intrakat Group is a reference on an international scale for delivering ready-made products, the institution carries out public projects and even grants PPPs. Since the year 2021, they are reinforcing their environmental commitment in order to achieve the desired goals by the year 2030. To this end, the institution claims that it already has, in progress, at least 9 permits in progress for new construction. Partnerships on a global scale will make projects get off the ground quickly.

Strategic partnership between Intrakat and Parkwind in the production of wind energy impacts the world sector, including Brazil. Is this the end of the era of fossil fuels?

Wind energy has been an alternative used by many companies in order to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment, other alternatives quite common used in the industry, is the production of solar energy and based on the use of hydrogen. Hydrogen has become so popular that companies focused on aviation have already announced this week that intend to invest in engines that will put forward the need to use biodiesel. Biodiesel is increasingly expensive to produce and looking for an alternative to replace it is a necessity in the short and long term.

Petros Souretis, CEO of Intrakat and Loukas Lazarakis, CEO of Inkat Energy, said: “As part of the Intrakat Group's growth and investment strategy in renewable energy, we are entering into an important and extremely dynamic strategic partnership, I believe, with Parkwind, an innovative company with a leading position in the field of offshore wind farms. Greece, in the coming years, will develop this category of wind farms, with obvious and multiple benefits, on a large scale. With the know-how and experience of Intrakat and Parkwind, we aspire to become leaders in this field.”

With four wind farms under operational management in the Belgian North Sea and a fifth currently being installed, Parkwind will have more than 1GW of offshore wind power capacity.

Energy crisis makes this transition necessary.

Countries are “racing” to carry out the energy transition based on fossil fuels and coal, which rose 105% in one year, for hydrogen, wind and solar energy. Another example, in addition to Belgian and Greek multinationals and offshore companies, is India, which revealed this week, through a report, that it needs an investment of US$ 223 billion to reduce its dependence on coal by more than half. Brazil encourages its population to do the same by not charging ICMS on what is produced until 2023.
