Eneva advanced in its exploratory campaign in Maranhão in the first quarter of this year. In the Gavião Preto field, in Parnaíba, the company completed the completion of two oil wells and also concluded the drilling of another three. In 2017, Eneva reached the mark of more than 100 oil wells drilled in the Parnaíba Basin, in Maranhão, an exceptional result for a new frontier basin.

In addition to the Parnaíba Basin, in Maranhão, Eneva operates the Azulão field, in the Amazonas Basin. The natural gas produced in the field will supply the Jaguatirica II thermoelectric plant, in Roraima.

Eneva has a total area under concession of more than 50 km² in Maranhão and Amazonas.
