IF Sudeste de Minas Gerais is offering 750 places in completely free courses in seven cities in the state. Check out how to apply!
The Federal Institute of Southeast Minas Gerais (IF Sudeste MG) is changing the educational scenario with the opening of 750 vacancies in technical, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, in-person and remotely. Registration is available, according to G1, until May 7, offering opportunities in seven cities in Minas Gerais: Barbacena, Bom Sucesso, Juiz de Fora, Manhuaçu, Rio Pomba, Santos Dumont and São João del-Rei.
This IF Sudeste MG selection process follows the new Quota Law (Law 14.273, of 2023), reserving 50% of vacancies for candidates who do not obtain the marks for admission to highly competitive vacancies. The selection considers aspects such as study in public institutions, family income, ethnic-racial self-declaration and status as a person with a disability.
Selection and entry into the IF of Minas Gerais
The concomitant and/or subsequent technical courses offered by the IFs of Minas Gerais will have their classes formed by draw, scheduled for June 20th. Candidates for undergraduate courses will take the test on June 9th, with 45 objective questions and an essay. Final proof of registration will be available on June 3, and admission to postgraduate studies follows specific criteria described in the notices (ACCESS BY CLICKING HERE).

Registration and registration fees for IF Minas Gerais courses
To register for courses at the IFs in Minas Gerais, interested parties must access the system using the candidate's gov.br account and register CLICKING HERE. If you don't have an account, you need to create one. Registration for the technical courses are free, while for undergraduate and postgraduate courses, there is a fee of BRL 50,00. Payment can be made until May 8th at Banco do Brasil branches and bank correspondents.
Candidates who completed high school in public institutions, received full scholarships in the private network or in philanthropic entities, as well as those who completed the High school based on the results of Encceja or state teaching exams, they can request registration fee exemption. The request must be made during the registration period, until April 8th.
