This is because the FPSO Anita Garibaldi platform, the vessel responsible for operating the project, is already in Brazilian waters.

The vessel is currently at Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz, located in the state of Espírito Santo. There, the FPSO will undergo commissioning activities, in addition to regulatory inspections and operational tests.

After the completion of all tests at Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz, the vessel Anita Garibaldi will head to Bacia de Campos, to await the start of production at Campo de Marlim, scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.

The vessel has the capacity to produce up to 80 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and process up to 7 million cubic meters of natural gas per day. As a reminder, FPSO Anita Garibaldi is part of the Marlim and Voador Revitalization Project.

With its project to revitalize Campo de Marlim, Petrobras intends to connect the new platform to 43 wells, with peak production expected for 2026.

Thus, the FPSO platform Anita Garibaldi will join Anna Nery in replacing the nine platforms currently operating in the region, namely: P-18, P-19, P-20, P-26, P-32, P-33, P-35, P-37 and P-47.

In the production resumption project, Petrobras still intends to reduce by 60% the carbon emissions associated with the production of the areas, ensuring more environmental commitment in operations.

Discover the Jurong Aracruz Shipyard

The Jurong Aracruz Shipyard arrived in Espírito Santo in 2011 to carry out an unprecedented type of business in the State. With the advancement of oil exploration in the pre-salt layer, the expectations of investments in naval infrastructure made it necessary to create an appropriate shipyard to meet the demands of this industry, which requires cutting-edge technology and quality products to carry out bold projects. .

The structure offered by the shipyard is prepared to meet not only the demands of Petrobras, but the requirements of the world market, in the manufacture of vessels and jackets (basic structures of oil platforms), generating business for local suppliers, employment and income for local workers and currency for Espírito Santo.

Learn more about the Campos Basin

The Campos Basin is Petrobras' synthesis of innovation in deep and ultra-deep waters. With more than 40 years of existence, it not only launched the most modern offshore technologies to the world.

In it, Petrobras set up a veritable floating city, which translates into one of the largest oil complexes in deep waters in the industry. With 25 units in production, this basin occupies an area that goes from Espírito Santo, near Vitória, to Arraial do Cabo, on the north coast of Rio de Janeiro.
