During the peak of the Port works, the generation of 650 direct jobs and another 300 indirect jobs are expected. The schedule forecast is 3 years for the conclusion of the first phase of the work, which will include the handling of containers and general cargo. For the operation stage, when the Port starts operating at its maximum capacity, 640 direct opportunities and another 1.000 indirect opportunities are estimated.

Imetame is authorized to install its terminal in the Port of Aracruz, in the north of Espírito Santo – ES. The project promises to generate many jobs in the region, around 650 direct jobs and another 300 indirect ones at the beginning of the works for all levels of education. The general idea is that at the end of the project the company generates a total number of vacancies equivalent to 2590 opportunities as stated above.

Imetame job openings for the Port works in Aracruz – ES

The job vacancies will be both for the operations of the port work, which promise to last around three years, and in normal activities. Construction will begin in the coming days and, for the first stage alone, 950 jobs will be offered, both directly and indirectly. In total, around R$ 1 billion will be invested in the Port of Aracruz.

The importance of the new port in Aracruz – ES

The development had been waiting for the authorization of the Secretary of Union Heritage (SPU), which provided the land located at kilometer 58 of the ES-010, in Barra do Sahy, in Aracruz. According to Hoffmann, the port will strengthen international trade and will also help the number of containers and cargo that will be handled in Espírito Santo.
