According to the mayor of Macaé, a meeting was held with the general director of Perenco to discuss investments

Perenco, a Franco-British private oil company, will invest US$ 200 million over the next 4 years in Macaé. The announcement was made by the mayor of the city, Welberth Rezende, on his Twitter account. The meeting was attended by the general director of Perenco, Yves Postec and the director of institutional relations, Leonardo Caldas.

Welberth, says that “Perenco is a multinational that has already invested U$$ 370 million in the acquisition of three exploration fields in the Campos Basin. According to the director of the company, the new investments will take place by the year 2024 and will generate thousands of jobs here in Macaé.”

“It is good to remember that the company already employs 35% of its workforce here in Macaé and spends, just with the acquisition of supplies, an amount of R$ 150 million per year in our city. With the new investments, this amount will be even greater, both generating jobs and moving the services sector in our city”, completed the mayor of Macaé in his Twitter post.

ANP approved concession contracts for Perenco, in shallow waters in the Campos Basin, until 2040

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels – ANP, approved the extension of Perenco's concession contract for the oil fields in shallow waters of the Campos Basin, until 2040. This year, 58 well restoration actions are planned in the fields. Carapeba, Pargo and Vermelho, including interventions in pipelines, complementing wells, repairs and increasing the capacity of submersible centrifugal pumps.
