LPC Latina wins tender to carry out the geotechnical instrumentation with the resumption of construction work on line 6-Orange of the São Paulo Metro
In São Paulo, one more step was taken towards the resumption of Line 6-Orange, whose construction has been paralyzed for three years, where only 15% of the construction of the line has progressed. Metrô has just selected the company Latina Projetos Civis, winner of the tender, for the geotechnical instrumentation of the line. The works are expected to resume later this year.
From now on, LPC Latina will be responsible for soil analysis at the construction sites of the entire branch line, which will connect Brasilândia to the center of the capital, up to the São Joaquim station.

Resume
It is worth remembering that the deadline for expiry of the concession contract expires on November 11th. The date was changed because three international business groups formalized proposals for the acquisition of the participation of the Move São Paulo consortium in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
With the extension until November, the Move São Paulo concessionaire will remain responsible for conserving and preserving the safety of construction sites and properties linked to the concession.
According to João Doria (PSDB) management, the goal is to complete the works by 2025. 8 new stations (8,3 km long) will be built up to the Penha neighborhood, in the East Zone, Greater São Paulo.
According to the government, R$ 5,5 billion will be invested in the stretch. Part of this amount has already been used in the expropriation of 96% of the 226 properties needed for the work.
Remembering
The contract is for the Move São Paulo Consortium, responsible for building line 6 Orange of the Metro (Vila Brasilândia/São Joaquim).
The Move São Paulo Consortium, formed by the companies Odebrecht, Queiroz Galvão and UTC, took over the construction contract in 2015, but delivered, until the interruption of services, on September 02, 2016, only 15% of the works.
In 2014, the government completed the bidding process for the project, which was divided into eight lots. Surrounding lands began to be expropriated.
In 2016, however, the Metrô decided to suspend the works due to budget difficulties. At the time, the government stated that it would prioritize projects that were already underway. Since then, the expansion works have been at a standstill.
