Investments in the electricity sector:
The minister highlighted that the country needs to improve the quality of investment in science and technology, and that the ministry has worked hard to formulate public policies in this area. “The PTI has provided relevant services to Itaipu and, with regard to the electricity sector and other sectors of the economy, it can also contribute. We hope that these policies will contribute to the sustainability of these PTI projects”, says Bento.
The Itaipu Technological Park:
The PTI also houses three university campuses, totaling 27 specialization courses, 10 master's and six doctoral courses. The space is frequented by 7 people, including professionals, students and teachers.
General Silva e Luna, who also accompanied the visit to the PTI, said that “The PTI has solutions for issues that are critical around the world, such as cybersecurity. And often these solutions are not so well known. So, it is important to have this type of exchange as an MME, so that this type of action can be replicated in other structures in the country”.
