Career opportunity in the Navy competition: registrations open for apprentice sailor schools
The Brazilian Navy has open registration for the admission competition to the Apprentice-Sailors Schools (EAMs). With a total of 600 vacancies, 504 for men and 96 for women, opportunities are distributed among units in Espírito Santo, Ceará, Santa Catarina and Pernambuco.
When registering, the candidate must list the order of preference by municipality and choose one of three areas professionals available for specialization: electronics, support or mechanics. During the sailor training course, which lasts 48 weeks under an internship, the remuneration is R$ 1.303,90, with benefits such as uniform, food and medical-dental, psychological, social and religious assistance. After graduation, the salary increases to R$2.294,50.
Selection process for the Navy competition for sailors
The objective test will be administered on April 13, with multiple choice questions on Portuguese, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English. The competition will also include delivery of documents, health inspection, psychological assessment and physical fitness test (swimming and running) between June and August. The start of the sailors course is scheduled for January 27, 2025.
Requirements and registration for the Navy competition
To participate in the Navy competition, sailor candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing the third year of high school, in addition to being aged between 18 and 21 years old (completed by June 30, 2025). Registration can be made until February 18, by filling out an electronic form available on the Navy website CLICKING HERE.
The participation fee for the Navy competition is R$40, but candidates registered with CadÚnico or bone marrow donors can request an exemption. The deadline to request the benefit is February 2nd (by post) and February 5th (in person).
Career in the military
During the course, the student is considered a Cabin Boy, and after graduation he becomes a Sailor with technical training within the Navy. The career of enlisted personnel begins at the rank of sailor, followed by corporal, third-sergeant, second-sergeant, first-sergeant and non-commissioned officer.
