Associations send a joint letter to the Ministry of Transport requesting support to increase the number of places in the ANTT competition. Find out more details about this demand!
ANTT (National Land Transport Agency) faces a significant staff shortage, which led associations to send a joint letter to the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho, seeking support for an increase in vacancies in the agency's next competition.
Although the government has authorized the holding of a new ANTT competition, the number of approved vacancies, currently at 50 vacancies for a regulatory specialist, it is not enough to meet the agency’s needs. ANTT had requested 372 opportunities, with 124 vacancies for regulatory specialists, 48 for administrative analysts and 200 for administrative technicians.
With a frame of more than 780 vacant positions, hiring just 50 employees would not solve the problem of lack of personnel at the agency. It is important to highlight that the competition also provides for the formation of a reserve register for future calls.
Reserve registration and new summons
To optimize the use of the booking registration, ANTT would need additional authorization from the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI), which would allow the call for up to 25% in addition to the initial number of vacancies. Any number higher than this percentage would require a presidential decree.
To date, ANTT has already received interest from six organizing committees, including the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), Cebraspe, the Carlos Chagas Foundation (FCC), the Institute for Educational Development (Idecan), the Avalia Institute and the Instituto Our Direction.
Competitive salaries and competition deadlines
The vacancies in the competition are for the career of specialist in regulation, which requires higher education and offers a initial salary of R$17.071,35. This amount includes the basic salary and food allowance, which was adjusted by the Federal Government at the beginning of the year.
ANTT aims to publish the competition notice by January 2024, following the deadline stipulated in the authorizing ordinance. The tests must take place by March of the same year, and appointments are scheduled for 2024.
ANTT's last contest
The last ANTT competition took place ten years ago, in 2013, which reinforces the urgency of this new selection process to fill the agency's staff shortage. At the time, the contest offered 135 vacancies in mid- and higher-level positions, with objective tests, writing, title evaluation and training courses for some categories.
Holding a new competition is essential to strengthen ANTT's staff and improve the provision of essential services for the transport sector in Brazil. The expectation is that the authorizations will be fulfilled, and the competition will progress as planned. To stay up to date with public competitions, continue following our Telegram channel.
