The company Alpha 311, with the objective of innovating in the renewable energy sector, created a project involving wind turbines that rotate with the movement of vehicles and can produce energy from 100 solar panels

The new era of renewable energy has arrived and, along with it, bladeless wind turbines and the highlight of the day is the wind turbine, which generates energy through the movement of vehicles on the track, that is, an invention that does not depend on natural winds. Wind turbines are already being installed on road poles in some countries. Check out all the details about the track wind turbine.

Each wind turbine is about 2 meters high, but the Alpha 311 stated that the size of the new wind turbine may vary according to the development of the project. For a lower installation cost in the wind turbine, the renewable energy turbines are connected to the lighting columns, which are already installed and which are close to the roads where the vehicles pass.

With the passage of vehicles, the wind turbine receives the wind produced with the speed, causing the blades to rotate, thus generating energy. According to the CEO of the company that developed the wind energy equipment, Barry Thompson, it is a unique idea in the renewable energy market.

According to him, his house is fully supplied with the prototype of the new wind turbine, which will be able to generate energy in its final phase, in the same amount as 21 square meters of solar energy panels.

Alpha 311 claims that the new wind turbine is capable of generating approximately 6 MW when coupled to poles on a highway, but depending a lot on the flow of vehicles. This amount of energy, according to the company, can supply a small community.

Innovative design for renewable energy uses on-site resources

Thompson also mentioned that the wind turbine will only use the infrastructure that already exists in the place, not being necessary to fill the landscape with giant wind turbines. He also mentioned a road in the county of Kent, in England, which is less than 30 kilometers long, where turbines could be installed in the center of the road, making use of wind energy from vehicles passing in both directions.

The new wind turbine model has several benefits, such as its small size and weight. Because it is small and inexpensive, it is easier to install. In addition, wind turbines have sophisticated sensors that collect atmospheric data in the location. Renewable energy wind turbine blades are 360°, making it visible from all angles.

The search for new renewable energy solutions around the world involves much more than a new wind turbine

sustainable car

In addition to the new wind turbine, in recent years, companies have been insatiably looking for ways to produce renewable energy to reduce the emission of CO2 and other gases into the atmosphere, transforming the world into a sustainable place. A few years ago, students created a model vehicle that is powered by wind energy.

Students from the Higher School of Education in Barcelona (IED) designed a model designed by Tesla, a giant in the sector. The vehicle was named T1, and runs on 4 individual wind turbines that were 3D printed. The turbines were installed on the vehicle's four wheels and are piped to a fifth turbine which is at the back.

The vehicle's engine has 1341 hp of power, and can reach 410 km/h. And, in addition, the prototype can reach from 0 to 100 km/h in an incredible 2,5 seconds.

The students developed the prototype for the Michelin New Technologies competition, which encourages innovation in renewable energies. Thus, a great example that many ideas are yet to come in the renewable sectors, and that there is always a way to create a more efficient and sustainable way to generate energy, be it wind, solar or biomass energy.
