Nordex Group has received two orders from the Finnish subsidiary of Falck Renewables for 10 turbines totaling 59 MW in Finland
Hamburg, July 7, 2022 At the end of June 2022, the Nordex Group received two orders from the Finnish subsidiary of Falck Renewables for 10 turbines totaling 59 MW in Finland. Five N163/5.X turbines will be delivered for the “Mustalamminmäki” and “Koiramäki” projects, respectively. Both orders also include a service contract to maintain the turbines for a period of ten years.
Both wind farms are being built in the municipality of Karstula in central Finland. Nordex Group will install the turbines in tubular steel towers with a cube height of 148 meters from summer 2023. Due to adverse weather conditions, the turbines will be supplied in cold weather version and with Nordex Advanced Anti-Icing- System for rotor blades.
Patxi Landa, CSO of Nordex Group: “We are pleased to be able to equip the first two Finnish projects of our long-term partner Falck Renewables with our N163 turbines. Building on experience gained from previous Nordex projects in Sweden, Falck Renewables' orders for Finland demonstrate once again the excellent suitability of our solutions for cold climate conditions in the Nordic countries.”
