There are 11 vacancies available in RJ for the vacation internship and 19 in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Pará and Alagoas for ongoing works and projects at Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção

Entries are open for the OEC – Odebrecht Engineering & Construction Summer Internship. There are 11 vacancies for Rio de Janeiro for students of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Administration, who are studying from the fifth semester onwards.

Interested parties can apply until November 13 through the website www.oec-eng.com and those selected will begin supervised activities in January, ending in February. In addition to the stipend, the interns will be entitled to food, transportation, life insurance and, in certain projects, accommodation will be provided.
In Rio de Janeiro, OEC has been carrying out works such as Prosub (Submarine Development Program), in Itaguaí, where five submarines are being built to modernize the Brazilian Navy's fleet; the BRT Transbrasil, considered one of the longest in the world; and the Santa Cruz Thermoelectric, which is being converted into a combined cycle to run on both diesel and gas.

“We will have five vacancies for Prosub and six for BRT Transbrasil. The interns will be supported by members of OEC and will work in the areas of engineering and administration”, explains Ana Clara Ribeiro, responsible for managing the construction company's internship program.

Other states

The opportunities are not just for Rio de Janeiro: another 19 vacancies are being offered for works in progress in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Pará and Alagoas. these vacancies can be found here.

In Minas Gerais, OEC is involved in the construction of health units for the City Hall of Belo Horizonte, in a PPP model. In Pará, it carries out requalification works on 10,8 km of the BR-316, the main gateway to the capital, Belém. In Alagoas, in turn, it is responsible for section 4 of Canal do Sertão, a project that already has almost 90% of works completed. In São Paulo, vacancies are for the Shared Services Center (CSC), an administration area based in the company's headquarters building, on Marginal Pinheiros.

The OEC Vacation Internship program has been in existence since 2011 and during this period it has already given the opportunity to more than 1.100 students in several Brazilian states. The action contributes to the training of university students during the vacation period, enabling them to acquire a practical view of what is seen in the classroom. “We are very pleased to receive students from all over Brazil to learn a little bit with the experience of our professionals during the internship period. It is important that we make our contribution to the training of these young people”, he assesses.
