The idea is that the workforce for the construction of the route 3 gas pipeline will be for the citizens of the city of Maricá. Petrobras has undertaken to meet this demand.
In a meeting between the Municipality of Maricá and Petrobras on works to be carried out in Maricá with the aim of building the Rota3 gas pipeline, to transport gas production from the Pre-Salt Pole of the Santos Basin, the municipality, through the Secretary of Industry and Portuária presented the implementation of the Municipal Register of Local Labor to the representatives of the state-owned company, for use by the industrial and port sector of the municipality.
According to Igor Sardinha, Municipal Secretary of Industry and Ports of Maricá, the register arose from the Memorandum of Intentions signed with DTA Engenharia, which has already committed to using the register for works at the Ponta Negra Terminal, the Port of Maricá. The register will have a direct interface with the companies that produce and provide services to the city, in order to guarantee that the population of Maricá has access to the job offers that will be produced by the industries, and by the port works. “The system is about to be launched and will be done in a digital and transparent way, where all residents of Marica will be able to send their CVs and relevant documents. The mission given by Mayor Fabiano Horta is to ensure that people from Marica can take advantage of the opportunities arising from the development of our city”, said Igor.
During the meeting, Petrobras was asked the effort with the contracted companies so that the mobilization of professionals uses the municipal register. Petrobras positively recognized the municipality's initiative, and committed to taking the demand to its contractors within the municipality.
Petrobras informed at the meeting that the objective of the Rota3 gas pipeline is to transport 18 million cubic meters of gas from the Pre-Salt Pole of the Santos Basin to Comperj, so that it can be processed there and made available to the consumer market. According to representatives of the state-owned company, two works are pending, corresponding to two sections of the gas pipeline: an ultra-shallow one, which includes the implantation of a directional hole at the sea-land interface, on Jaconé beach, and a land section with 48km, starting on Jaconé beach, and which will travel through the municipality to Comperj, in Itaboraí.
