Currently, the Port of Imbetiba, in the city of Macaé, is operated by Petrobras, which operates at a draft in the range of 6 to 7 meters deep, which provides conditions for some vessels to operate and dock. With the Environmental License granted this week, the state-owned company will be able to raise this depth to 9,5 meters, giving new operational possibilities to the port. New larger vessels will also be able to operate in the region after the undertaking is concluded.

Understand, this is a demand from Petrobras itself so that more vessels dock at the Port of Imbetiba, consequently bringing more development and inflow of resources to Macaé.
