To optimize costs, Petrobras started today a teaser for the Golfinho and Camarupim maritime hubs
Petrobras announced this Wednesday (15) a new opportunity disclosure stage (teaser), for its participation in two units of maritime concessions in deep waters in the post-salt, named Polo Golfinho and Polo Camarupim, located in the Basin of Holy Spirit. The main subsequent stages of the project will be announced in due course. This disclosure is in accordance with Petrobras' divestment guidelines and with the provisions of the special procedure for the assignment of rights for exploration, development and production of oil, natural gas and other fluid hydrocarbons, provided for in Decree 9.355/2018.
This operation aims to optimize Petrobras' portfolio and to improve the company's capital allocation, with a view to maximizing value for its shareholders.
About the Maritime Poles
The Polo Golfinho is located in a water depth between 1.300 m and 2.200 m, comprising the fields of Golfinho, oil producer, and Canapu, producer of non-associated gas, and the exploratory block BM-ES-23. The total average production of the fields between 2018 and 2019 was 15 thousand bpd of oil and 750 thousand m³/day of gas.
The Camarupim Complex is located in water depths between 100 m and 1.050 m, comprising the unitized fields of Camarupim and Camarupim Norte, both producers of non-associated gas.
Petrobras has a 100% stake in the concessions at the Polos Golfinho and Camarupim(*), with the exception of exploratory block BM-ES-23, in which it has a majority stake of 65%, in partnership with PTTEP (20%) and Inpex ( 15%). Petrobras is the operator in all concessions.
Offers can be made by Polo, separately, or in a single offer for both Polos.
(*) The process of acquisition of Ouro Preto's stake by Petrobras in the Camarupim Norte field started in August 2018 and is expected to be concluded in the 1st quarter of 2020.
