Divestments by Petrobras
Peroá and Canga

Campos de Peroá and Cangoá are the targets of Petrobras' divestment plan, which will also sell its stake in the new Malombe discovery.

Petrobras published, yesterday, Friday (05/07), the details of the sale of 100% of the fields of Peroá and Cangoá and of its participation of 88,9% in the new field of Malombe (BM-ES-21), in the basin of the Holy Spirit.
It will not be just the fields that will be sold by Petrobras, production and outflow facilities and the onshore gas pipeline that connects the PPER-1 platform to the Cacimbas gas treatment unit (UTGC) are also being offered.

Currently, the Peroá and Cangoá fields, in shallow waters of Espírito Santo, produce approximately 900 m³/day of non-associated gas, but the system has the capacity to produce 8 million m³/day.

In the new Malombe discovery, Petrobras has an estimated production of 2,5 million m³/day of gas and holds 88,9% of the asset in partnership with Repsol, which owns the remaining 11,1% and is awaiting a decision of the ANP to leave the partnership.

Divestment

In a note, Petrobras declared that "this operation is in line with the optimization of the portfolio and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, aiming at the generation of value for our shareholders".

The maritime field of Cangoá, was the first in the sea of Espírito Santo with a commercial reserve and was discovered in 1988. The field of Peroá was discovered in 1997 and was considered of great importance for having the largest natural gas reserve in the State.

See too ! The approval, yesterday (04/07), by the ANP, of the inclusion of a new well in the discovery evaluation plan (PAD) of Moita Bonita and the change of deadline to December 1st of this year, confirms the state-owned company's intention to anticipate to the maximum the production of the Sergipe basin after the Petrobras recently announced its biggest gas discovery since the rich pre-salt reserves were announced in 2006.
