Petrobras announced the start of the binding phase for the sale of all of its stakes in eight onshore exploration and production concessions.

Petrobras announced on Monday, August 26, that it had begun the binding phase for the sale of all of its stakes in the onshore field concessions at Polo Rio Ventura, in Bahia. Altogether, the state-owned company will sell its stakes in 8 exploration and production concessions.

Those qualified for the new phase of the divestment process will receive instructions, including how to present their proposals for the asset.

"This operation is in line with the optimization of the portfolio and the improvement of the company's capital allocation, aiming at generating value for our shareholders", informed Petrobras.

Closing activities in an exploration well in RN

Petrobras annulled this Friday, August 23, the request for an environmental license to install the machinery for the flow of gas and oil from the well installed in the municipality of Assú.

Administrative decision number 120596/2019 of the Institute for Sustainable Development and the Environment of Rio Grande do Norte (Idema) determines the closure of the activities of the upwelling line of well 7-ET-0921-RN, located in the production asset of Alto do Rodrigues.

On the 9th of August, the oil company informed that it had signed a contract with SPE 3R Petroleum for the sale for US$191,1 million of its entire stake in a set of 7 onshore and offshore production fields, Polo Macau, in the Potiguar Basin, in Rio Grande do Norte.

The Macau Hub includes the Aratum, Macau, Serra, Salina Cristal, Lagoa Aroeira, Porto Carão and Sanhaçu fields, which together produce around 5,8 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Petrobras continues with the sale of exploration areas. The fields in Rio Grande do Norte are also part of the company's divestment plan, which will now focus on its core activity, which is the exploration and production of oil and gas in deep waters.
