Santander Brasil and EIB sign historic agreement for small investments in solar energy

The European Investment Bank (EIB) and Santander Brasil sealed a historic partnership by signing an agreement worth 300 million euros (about 1,5 billion reais) to boost small investments in solar energy in Brazil. According to Terra Notícias, the initiative was implemented during the last summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States, held in Brussels.

The resources from the agreement between Santander and the EIB will be directed towards the construction of small-scale photovoltaic solar power plants in Brazil, with a special focus on the roofs of residential buildings and commercial establishments. This approach aims democratize access to solar energy and encourage sustainability in the private sector.
