Information contained in the self-employed truck drivers video

In the video that was sent and shortly after, Alexsandro Viviani – president of the Union of Autonomous Road Workers (Sindicam), explains the real reason behind this stoppage that is scaring the population. The real reason: Increase in the freight table, fuels without ICMS, loss of vacancies in the Port of Santos and much more. Given these facts that were mentioned by the self-employed truck drivers, Alexsandro Viviani – president of the Union of Autonomous Road Workers, spoke out saying:

“Brasília unfortunately has projects that are taking jobs from port workers. They have a project that will eliminate 8 jobs in the Port of Santos”.

Support from one of the largest confederations

Self-employed truck drivers received full support from the National Confederation of Transport and Logistics Workers (CNTTL), which is directly linked to the CUT. One of the self-employed truck drivers Wallace Landim, known as “chorão” also spoke out demanding what was said in the previous year when the category was being targeted by political interests and there were several promises of improvements in the Porto De Santos Region.

Events repeating themselves due to failed promises

What is happening due to the promise of truck drivers to completely block the Port of Santos also happened last year – specifically in June with the blocking of a terminal in Guarujá, all due to promises that were not fulfilled and an increase in the table of freight.
