According to the communiqué issued this Wednesday by the news agency of the Dow Jones index, of the New York stock exchange, Petrobras prohibited transit because the daily transport tariffs for very large oil tankers in the strait increased by about US$ 20 on the night of Tuesday, 7th, reaching US$ 130.

The Saudi company Bahri, on the other hand, sent a note to customers and brokers to which the "Wall Street Journal" had access, informing that it advised not to sail through the Strait of Hormuz until 16 pm on January 8, local time (10 am Brasília time) .
Approximately 20% of the world's oil supply passes through the Strait of Hormuz, between the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, and any disruption to ship traffic could affect markets.
