Flotel Safe Concordia by Prosafe will be at the Enseada shipyard, in Bahia, for six months. The contract was signed last Friday (02/08), in Rio de Janeiro.

The Enseada shipyard, in Maragogipe, Bahia, has just announced the signing of a contract with Prosafe, last Friday, August 02nd, in Rio de Janeiro.
As Click Petróleo e Gás reported here on our website, on the 25th of last month, a meeting between representatives of the shipyard, the FIEB and the government of the state of Bahia discussed the return to operation of the shipyard.

As an effect of the efforts of the Bahian authorities and the management of the Enseada shipyard, the contract signed with Prosafe provides for the mooring of the Safe Concordia flotel at the shipyard for six months to carry out maintenance services.

Carlos Tsubake, Commercial Director of the Enseada shipyard, declared that: “We are very satisfied with this new contract, the first with Prosafe. This is another maintenance contract where we will receive a platform without removing the thrusters, although it is possible to remove this equipment in sheltered waters, approximately 20 km away. Another advantage of our industrial park is the supply of high quality electricity (29MW and 69KV), which does not require the use of platform generators, resulting in savings for our client”.

Enseada is located in the municipality of Maragogipe, Bahia, has the capacity to process 108 thousand tons of steel per year and was a private investment of R$ 3,2 billion and had as a technological partner the Japanese shipyard Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI).
