The non-taxation of ICMS on what is produced by solar energy will be guaranteed for those who install photovoltaic panels until the end of January 2023. This benefit granted to Brazilians is also called a tax haven, and, according to analysts, is now one of the best times to invest in the sector.

The company NeoSolar is one of the pioneers in solar energy across the country. It is completing 12 years and already has over 40 customers, in addition to estimating a growth of more than 400% in the next five years. The institution tends to benefit from the tax “paradise” in Brazil, which allows all people who install photovoltaic panels until January 2023 to be exempt from paying ICMS until the year 2045.

Lithium batteries, hybrid systems, agribusiness and microinverters are among the trends that, according to Neosolar, need contributions to have a good development in the coming years. Despite being promising bets, international 'commodities' have been facing high price increases due to the lack of raw material stocks. the billionaire Elon Musk, for example, struggles to get new partnerships for the supply of lithium, which is experiencing increases due to its productivity 11% lower than what was needed by the industry in 2021.

According to Neosolar's press office, which contacted the Click Oil and Gas, the institution is investing far beyond solar energy and photovoltaic panels: the company is interested in providing the best possible experience for customers through an 'e-commerce'. Another service offered by the institution is the availability of technicians to carry out maintenance on the panels.

No ICMS and Off Grid leadership

The brand is also a market leader in the off-grid, that is, systems that are not connected to the electrical grid and rely on batteries, widely used in remote locations, which still do not have poles or underground wiring. It also participates in social programs such as the “More Light for the Amazon”, which allows bringing high potential solar energy to regions further away from the Amazon and riverside communities. The projects were created even with the Covid-19 pandemic and the economic crisis.

Raphael Pintão, one of the founding partners of NeoSolar, commented, in a press conference, that the market has been growing exponentially and that, with each passing day, the population has more access to information about benefits that can be granted by solar energy. For the company to be able to stand out in the market, according to the businessman, in addition to a complete portfolio, better service and specialized support for all categories of customers are needed.

Raphael claims that, during the time they are operating in the market, they have already managed to prevent more than 1,2 million tons of carbon dioxide were released into the environment. Not to mention, moreover, the more than 22 families already served throughout Brazil – which adds up to a total of 40 customers, when considering the companies that have already received support.

Solar energy is a way for Brazilians to escape energy crisis, where the batteries, according to Aneel, should increase by up to 65% in 2022.
