Celeo Redes Brasil will build a new solar energy park in the state of Piauí. This new venture will have 400 to 500 megawatts of energy from solar panels, with operations expected to start in January 2025. The investment, of around 1,2 to 1,5 billion reais, will make room for hiring more thousand job openings during the construction phase.

Solar energy park in Piauí

Celeo Redes already has a solar park in operation in São João do Piauí and intends to expand it to double its production capacity. The company is also building a 415-kilometer transmission line, which will link the states of Piauí and Ceará, which is expected to enter into commercial operation in April 2021.

The new solar energy park will be located between the municipalities of Buriti dos Lopes and Bom Principle do Piauí, in the north of the state. The investments that will be made will boost the region and will generate many jobs in the state of Piauí.

Investments and job creation in Piauí

The state governor, Wellington Dias, said that several efforts are being made to achieve the goal of attracting investment. According to him, the partnership with Celeo has brought investments of approximately 1 billion reais. Now, the company wants to invest even more in solar energy generation, resulting in the creation of several jobs with the construction of the new solar energy park in the state of Piauí.

Howzembergson de Brito, Director of Renewable Energies at Seminper, the project is in the licensing phase at the State Secretariat for the Environment and Water Resources (Semar), with the process in progress. “Piauí continues to attract investments in energy and new projects will be installed. This is already reality in our state. These investments generate jobs and boost the economy in the regions where they are implemented,” said the manager.
