The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), alongside the Ministry of Health, is providing thousands of free courses for the Health with Agent Program
The Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) entered into a partnership with the Ministry of Health and the National Council of Municipal Health Secretariats to provide more than 100 places in free courses for health agents. The institution is offering 200 vacancies distributed in the technical course in community health agents and health surveillance with an emphasis on combating endemic diseases.

Of the total vacancies opened by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the Ministry of Health, 138 thousand are for community health agent and 62 thousand for health watchman. The free courses make up the Health Program with Agent, which aims to train community health agents, improving the quality of primary care services in the country.
The two free courses at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and the Ministry of Health will be taught in a hybrid mode and will last for 10 months, that is, students will have classes in virtual learning environments in addition to face-to-face classes.
The technical course in community health agent aims to train professionals to identify, control and prevent diseases. It also focuses on the personal preparation of students in individual and collective health actions in the most varied locations in the country.
The technical course in health surveillance is fully connected to the family health strategy, given that the opportunity focuses on training technicians who can promote health and fight diseases in more vulnerable social groups.
How to enroll in free online courses offered by the Ministry of Health?
Candidates interested in enrolling in the selection process for free courses at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and the Ministry of Health must be SUS community agents and have completed high school. Those who are attending the last year of high school or attend high school at EJA can also participate in the selection process.
Interested parties can apply on the program page by filling out an application form with data such as CPF, national SUS card number, e-mail address, and several others. Information about the work will be required, such as length of experience, municipality and type of population served.
It is worth remembering that, in order to enroll in the free courses at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the Ministry of Health, digitized data and no fee will be charged.
Dates of the UFRGS selection process
The registration period for the free courses will be open from March 14th to April 18th. The preliminary result of this stage will come out on May 9th, and the period to file an appeal will be on the 10th and 11th.
Already final score is scheduled to be announced on the 23rd of May. It is worth remembering that in both formations it will be necessary to have a minimum attendance of 75% to get approval.
