Ulstein Verft Signed J.P. Morgan Asset Management Contract for Offshore Wind Construction Services, Including Green Methanol & Hybrid Battery Options.
The shipbuilding company Ulstein Verft is expanding its offshore wind construction vessel (CSOV) activities with contracts signed with J.P. Morgan Asset Management.
In 2023, Ulstein Verft received an order from Bernhard Schulte Offshore for the design and construction of two CSOVs, in a contract that included options for two more vessels. These options were subsequently transferred to institutional investors advised by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, who took over the responsibility for constructing Ulstein’s first two vessels. The CSOVs ordered by Bernhard Schulte Offshore and J.P. Morgan Asset Management will be crucial for expanding renewable energy operations in Europe, making headlines in the offshore wind sector.
