Advantages of being approved in a public competition

By being approved in a public tender it is possible to count on financial and professional stability. After approximately three years of work, having completed the probationary period, a public servant can only be dismissed for serious reasons.

The average salary of a public servant can be much higher than that of workers in the private sector. According to a World Bank report, the public sector pays, on average, salaries that are 70% higher (R$44 thousand per year) than those paid by the formal private sector (R$26 thousand per year).

In a way, the public competition allows candidates to have equal hiring opportunities. This is because tests are carried out organized by an organizing panel that will evaluate candidates impartially, taking into account their knowledge and professional preparation.
