Ford and Red Bull have teamed up once again, beyond the Formula 1 tracks, to jointly develop their electric car. According to the executive president of Ford, Jim Farley, the companies are working together to produce a Red Bull Ford, creating an electric vehicle developed together with the 1 Formula 2022 Constructors' World Champion team.

On the part of Red Bull, it will be responsible for all the aerodynamic performance of the electric car in partnership with Ford, that is, the new electric car will perform at the level of Formula 1 cars!

According to Jim: “Recently, I was at a review of what is probably our most important EV, strategically speaking, and I turned to my skunkworks team who are secretly developing this and asked, 'Hey, who's doing the aerodynamics? ' And they replied: 'They are from Red Bull, from Formula 1.”

Despite the news that there is a new electric car from Red Bull with Ford on the way, the executive did not reveal more details about the partnership between the companies, which hampered all speculation about the Ford project. According to Motor Trend, the Ford and Red Bull electric car can range from a Mustang, Coupe, to an electric Ranger.

It is not the first time that Red Bull participates in car projects, and the company participated in the execution of the Aston Martin Valkyrie car, which was made in partnership with one of the greatest engineers in the history of F1, Adrian Newey.

This agreement between Ford and Red Bull for the production of an electric car is with start forecast for the year 2026, as soon as the new technical regulations for engines come into force. The duration of the agreement could last until 2030.
