ABSOLAR's proposal talks exclusively about the application of solar energy and private resources, generating job openings through a series of regulatory changes to unlock investments

The Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association (ABSOLUTE) sent a plan for the installation of 1 million new solar energy systems, the proposal was sent the previous month (July) to the Chief Minister of the Civil House, Braga Netto. Thus, the proposal could generate around 150 jobs for Brazil in two years.

Absolutely, ABSOLAR's proposal talks about investments by private organizations. Such investments can only be made through some changes in the regulation of Brazilian solar energy.

From the same point of view, in case of approval, there is an estimate of investments approaching more than 24,9 billion reais. In this way, it would be possible to generate 150 jobs and more than 7 billion in government taxes.

“Undeniably, the truth is that even though we are in the midst of a crisis, solar energy had a big leap in the first half of this year if we compare it with the end of the previous year, 2019. I affirm that this is a growth of more than 1300MW, if consider the distributed generation of solar energy. Said the executive president of ABSOLAR.

“Undeniably, even with the crisis, in the first half of this year, solar energy grew by 30% in its generation capacity. When compared to the entire sector's accumulated until the end of 2019. There was an increase of 1381 MW, considering centralized and distributed generation”, says Rodrigo Sauaia, Absolar.

Therefore, for this project to be taken off the ground, Absolar asked for full support from the Ministry of Economy, Mines and Energy so that there can be a reduction in the final cost of credit and that in this way there is the possibility of creating a guarantee fund for projects distributed generation of photovoltaic solar energy.

“Finally, we realized that many of our projects that are launched in partnership with the Government, make a large part of rural producers use the power of this technology for work purposes”. Adds Suaia, executive president of ABSOLAR.
