According to Petromar’s president, Celso Carlos Silva, the sector is expected to generate at least 200 direct jobs and is expected to expand to municipalities in the northern region of the state.
“We see a state that is very promising for development and the excellent work of the Semagro secretaries, Jaime Verruck, and Deputy Secretary Ricardo Sena. Mato Grosso do Sul stands out in the Midwest for corn production, and for this reason, we opted to open an industry in the state. Our goal is to produce 200,000 liters of corn ethanol daily,” said Celso.
In addition to ethanol, Petromar also operates in the production of animal feed, cooking oil, and other corn derivatives, aiming to open branches in other cities in the state to produce these products to meet local demand and export.
Celso explained that Jaraguari is 150 km from the main corn plantation in the state and has been discussing the establishment of subsidiaries in other cities, such as Costa Rica. “We talked with Semadur about establishing ventures like the renewable energy project that the company is working on, involving biogas and photovoltaic panels,” concluded the company’s president.
