In an interview with TV Bahia, the head of Setre explained that the selection process for job vacancies will take place in March and April, and hiring is expected to take place in May.

According to Skyrail Bahia, the company that implements the Subúrbio VLT, the new modal will have the capacity to transport 172 thousand users, from São João Island, in Simões Filho, passing through the entire suburb, to the Comércio district, integrating the Metro North Access. In operation, it will directly benefit around 600 people who live in the suburban area.

Powered by electric propulsion, without the emission of polluting agents that harm the environment, the Subúrbio VLT will take you from Calçada to Paripe in 25 minutes. To get an idea of ​​the reduction in travel time, the train makes the same journey of 40 to 50 minutes.

Phase 1 comprises 19,2 km, with 21 stations and will connect the Bairro do Comércio, in Cidade Baixa of the capital, to São João Island, in Simões Filho, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. In phase 2, which connects the region of São Joaquim to the North Access (integration with the subway), 5 more stations are planned.
