Company focused on oil and gas production presents advances and projections aligned with the ESG agenda in a recently published document.
With a strong presence in the oil and gas in Brazil, both on land (onshore) and at sea (offshore), 3R Petroleum now stands out with the publication of its 2022 Sustainability Report. This document reflects the growth of the company's activities over the last year and exposes, with clarity, your victories and business prospects. And what draws attention is the emphasis given to the environmental, social and corporate governance agenda, known as ESG schedule.
Standing up to international standards
- Petrobras can celebrate! Exploration of new pre-salt layer that promises to yield BILLIONS of barrels of oil for the state-owned company should finally be authorized, says minister
- ExxonMobil celebrates Tenaris as Supplier of the Year 2024!
- Work on board or on land, in Macaé and Rio de Janeiro: on and offshore job openings today at Wood! The company is looking for professionals with intermediate, technical and higher education levels
- Explosion of wealth in the Brazilian Pre-Salt: R$ 10.320.000.000 to public coffers in 2024!
The structuring of the report follows the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), an organization recognized worldwide for defining best practices for open dialogue between companies and their stakeholders. In this sense, the report was meticulously prepared by the Report Group.
3R, which in 2020 gained its space in the Novo Mercado – representing the highest standard of corporate governance of B3 -, did not fail to address topics considered essential both in its strategic plan and in the ESG guidelines. All of these points directly relate to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering issues such as climate change, ethics, compliance and community development.
Tangible commitments and long-term strategies
Matheus Dias, CEO of 3R Petroleum, highlights the need for economic growth to be in harmony with social progress and sustainability. It reinforces the idea that it is essential to prioritize people, communities and the environment, always aiming to add continuous value to society. This positioning is evidenced in the report, which also covers the seven main 3R assets until the end of 2022.
Responsible action and direct impact
The expansion of 3R Petroleum's operations did not occur without due improvement in its standards of corporate governance. The Sustainability Report presents evidence of this commitment, including the company's adherence to the Business Pact Against Corruption and for Integrity, an initiative of the Ethos Institute. This movement resulted in obtaining the Clean Company seal, reinforcing its ethical commitment.
But sustainability goes beyond governance. 3R also launched projects focused on biodiversity, such as REFLORESC3R, which promotes educational actions and supports family farming in Rio Grande do Norte. Furthermore, there was a partnership with the North-Rio-Grandense Association of Agricultural Engineers to recover land in the same state.
3R's social engagement is highlighted by actions that benefited more than 3 thousand people in Recôncavo Baiano, in addition to several communities in Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará. These initiatives reinforce the company's responsible stance and commitment to making a difference wherever it operates.
