On Thursday (20), Assaí Atacadista received a license to build its new unit in Macaé, which promises to create more than 500 job vacancies. The new unit will be built on an area of 69 thousand square meters, on the blue line. The investment will be 80 million and is a result of a government policy aimed at transforming the business environment, making Macaé more attractive for new investments like this.

According to data, the new unit in Macaé promises to generate around 580 jobs, both directly and indirectly. Assaí Atacadista is one of the most traditional in Brazil and has a presence in several Brazilian states, always seeking to create new job vacancies for professionals committed to the company’s growth and customer satisfaction.

According to the mayor of the city, Welberth Rezende, this moment is of utmost importance for Macaé and would not have happened without all the effort of the committee working to boost the city’s growth.

He also stated that Assaí’s investment in the city is important for the population, due to the generation of new job vacancies and the improvement in the quality of life for families, which is why the Licensing Commission did not rest until the permit was issued.

“Assaí’s arrival in our city is a milestone for economic development and represents a new journey for Macaé’s expansion. The well-being of our community depends on these growths and investments in the commerce sector for the quality of life,” said Welberth.
