Worker dies after becoming ill on a Petrobras platform in the Campos Basin. He disembarked, was hospitalized in Macaé, but did not resist
Wednesday begins with very sad news. An employee of the Petrobras platform P-47, which operates in the Campos Basin, died yesterday afternoon (18/05), after feeling sick.

According to information from Sindipetro Norte Fluminense (NF), Carlos Henrique Bispo dos Santos, 33, worked for the CSE – Mechanics and Instrumentation (part of Aker Solutions do Brasil).
He had been on board since May 9th, felt abdominal pain on Monday (17/05th), disembarked, was hospitalized in Macaé, but unfortunately he did not resist. So far, there are no further details about the cause of death.

On January 31, Petrobras reported the death of an employee in an accident at the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba
Information about a fatal accident on board the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba (MV24), operated by Modec and chartered by Petrobras, reached the CPG on January 31 at night. We contacted the companies involved in the operation and, so far, Petrobras was the only one that returned with a note of clarification to our press office. The official statement follows:
Petrobras regrets to inform that, this Sunday (31/01), an industrial climber from the company SISTAC died after a fall during an inspection on a tank of the FPSO Cidade de Mangaratiba, chartered from MODEC, which operates in the Tupi field, in the Santos Basin. The employee immediately received medical attention at the scene, but did not resist. Petrobras is in contact with Sistac and MODEC, who will provide support to the family.
