Thinking about sustainability, Equatorial Energia bought E-Nova, the fifth largest solar energy company in the Northeast and also leader in Maranhão, for R$ 7,5 million

Equatorial Energia, through its subsidiary Equatorial Geração Distribuida, announced the acquisition of It's new for approximately BRL 7,5 million. E-Nova is a company that operates in the Brazilian solar energy sector, leader in Maranhão and one of the five largest in the northeast. Equatorial Energia's contract was signed with João Victor Mapurunga Caracas, Felipe Simões Freitas e Silva and Guilherme de Carvalho Farias.

The purchase of the Northeast company promises to help Equatorial Energia operate in a new sector of the electricity market, focusing on offering technical solutions in energy efficiency and electric power generation through solar energy, mainly through distributed generation, allowing the company is able to advance in its value creation strategy.

Meet one of the largest solar energy companies in the northeast

The company emerged in 2013, and according to the ranking of verified installations by Portal Solar, a pioneer in solar energy in Brazil, E-nova is the leader in Maranhão and ranks fifth among companies in the Northeast.

In total, the company has already installed around 25.000 panels and around 650 solar power plants for both industry and commerce, homes and even agribusiness.

Its panels generate around 1.5 million kWh/month of energy for its customers and also save R$1,5 million per month on electricity bills, reducing costs and generating more investment opportunities for everyone. Even focused on the northeast, the company is present in all Brazilian regions with its partners such as SolarVolt, Seltec, Smart Sol, Ative, Eco and several others.

Equatorial Energia continues to invest in solar energy generation in several Brazilian states

In recent months, Equatorial has invested in its sustainability project with charging points for electric cars and electric bicycles for the population. Two states in the Northeast have already been confirmed to receive the project, they are: The Rangedor Park in São Luís do Maranhão and also the Citizenship Park in Teresina – Piauí.

Teresina was the first to sign the agreement with Equatorial Energia and, in addition to receiving the charging point, she will also receive an electric car that will be used to be part of the police fleet. The bicycles will be used for leisure by residents of Parque da Cidadania. Soon after, Maranhão was the second to sign the agreement, and will receive the same as Piauí. The electric bicycles will be for the leisure of the residents of Parque do Rangedor.
