Véio da Havan, Luciano Hang, Traveled to Torres and Tramandaí on the Coast of Rio Grande do Sul, Assessing Land for New Megastores After Record Revenue in 2025. Havan Talks About Opening 15 to 25 Stores in 2026, with Taquara on RS-115 and a Launch Expected in the First Half According to Report Published Today.

The véio da Havan has once again turned his attention to the map of Rio Grande do Sul with a clear agenda on the coast, identifying areas with technical conditions to accommodate new megastores. Luciano Hang’s journey through Torres and Tramandaí was described as part of an expansion plan that aims to capitalize on Havan’s historic results in 2025.

The movement occurs while the chain signals that it may open 15 to 25 units in 2026. Behind the véio da Havan’s itinerary, what emerges is a competition for location, road access, and commercial visibility in tourist cities and corridors that act as entry points for seasonal consumption flows.

The Itinerary on the Coast and the Logic of the Land

On February 23, 2026, Luciano Hang arrived in Torres around 9 AM, overflew the city and visited properties considered potential sites for a megastore.

Next, he headed to Tramandaí and repeated the same actions, looking for areas with technical conditions to receive the investment.

In this context, the véio da Havan does not see Torres and Tramandaí as symbolic bets, but rather as testing points for megastores on a coast that already has a unit in Capão da Canoa.

The reading is one of capturing regional demand, with tourism acting as an accelerator and the road network as a decisive viability filter.

The Record of 2025 and the Financial Fuel for Expansion

The most visible push for this trip from the véio da Havan comes from the balance sheet released for 2025.

Havan reported achieving the best result in its history, with 184 stores and revenue of R$ 18.5 billion, a growth of 16% compared to the previous year.

Net income was R$ 3.5 billion, the average ticket increased by 8%, and a total of 190 million customers visited the stores throughout the year.

These numbers change the tone of the expansion, as they suggest investment capacity to accelerate megastores without relying solely on expectations, anchoring the strategy in already consolidated cash and scale.

Why Rio Grande do Sul Became a Target for Megastores

Rio Grande do Sul appears on the véio da Havan’s itinerary due to a simple combination of commercial geography and opportunity.

Torres and Tramandaí concentrate strong seasonal flows and simultaneously operate as cities with influence over neighboring municipalities, which expands the attraction radius of a megastore.

Additionally, the state already has a recent history of network expansion, with a megastore in Capão da Canoa and an inauguration planned in Taquara, on the banks of RS-115, heading toward the Região das Hortênsias.

For a network of megastores, the choice of location is half the business, as it determines access, parking turnover, travel time, and the ability to draw consumption from passersby.

The Plan for 2026, 15 to 25 Openings, and the Role of Taquara

Havan’s projection for 2026 indicates opening between 15 and 25 units. This range is broad but serves as a signal of intention and pace, especially when the véio da Havan appears personally at the prospecting and land validation stage.

Taquara, mentioned as one of the cities expected to receive investment, is slated for inauguration in the first half of 2026.

The location on the banks of RS-115, on the way to the Região das Hortênsias, serves as an example of the standard the company usually seeks in megastores, with traffic routes, visibility, and the capacity to receive consumer flows beyond the local audience.

Torres and Tramandaí, Probable Impacts and What Still Needs Clarification

For cities like Torres and Tramandaí, the arrival of a megastore often affects circulation and job offerings, but the most immediate point is logistical. Where the store goes, how the surroundings absorb vehicles, and how access integrates into the urban fabric become practical questions for residents, city hall, and local commerce.

There is also the effect of competition; a megastore tends to reorganize the retail landscape by attracting consumers from nearby neighborhoods and municipalities. This can benefit surrounding services and pressure small businesses, depending on how the local economy responds to increased flow and changing shopping habits.

In the midst of this movement, Luciano Hang posted on social media the phrase “I was captivated by the affection I received here” during his visit to Tramandaí. The message reinforces the political and symbolic component of the trip but does not replace what really defines the advancement of the plan: approved land, licenses, executive project, and schedule.

The véio da Havan’s itinerary through Torres and Tramandaí exposes an expansion method that combines the owner’s presence, technical prospecting, and announcement of scale for 2026, supported by the financial record of 2025. If land negotiations progress, Rio Grande do Sul may gain new megastores in locations where tourism, highways, and regional demand intersect.

In your city, a megastore like Havan is likely to improve the offering and price or worsen traffic and stifle local commerce, and what do you consider decisive for accepting or rejecting this type of expansion in Torres, Tramandaí or Rio Grande do Sul?
