Free Robotics Course in Goiás, by the Federal Institute, Offers 900 Spots for Students Aged 8 to 20 and Expands Access to Technology in the State
More than 900 spots are open in Goiás for a free robotics and programming course that promises to transform the future of young people between 8 and 20 years old. The initiative, aimed at students from public schools and full scholarship students from private schools, comes as one of the largest recent opportunities for technological inclusion in the state. Additionally, half of the spots will be prioritized for girls, reinforcing the commitment to diversity in the innovation sector.
With in-person classes distributed across 17 municipalities, the program expands access to technology and sparks interest in strategic areas of the digital market.
The proposal is part of a state program for technological inclusion developed by the Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation in partnership with the Federal Institute of Goiás.

Who Can Enroll in the Free Robotics Course in Goiás
The free course at IFG is aimed at students aged 8 to 20. Regularly enrolled students in public education or full scholarship students from private schools may participate.
Additionally, the program prioritizes female inclusion by reserving 50 percent of the spots for girls. This measure strengthens the presence of young women in the fields of science and technology, sectors that historically have lower female participation.
Another important point is that selection will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. That is, those who enroll first will have a greater chance of securing one of the available spots, respecting the limit of each class.
What Does the Course Teach?
The free robotics course at IFG has been structured to provide a solid introduction to the technological universe. During the classes, students will have contact with essential content for anyone wishing to start in the field.
Among the topics covered are:
- Introduction to Robotics
- Programming Logic
- 3D Printing
- Artificial Intelligence
By bringing together these areas, the program creates a consistent foundation for participants to develop logical reasoning, creativity, and computational thinking.
Additionally, practical contact with emerging technologies broadens young people’s professional perspectives.
Consequently, the training stimulates interest in careers related to innovation, programming, engineering, and the development of digital solutions.
Where Will the In-Person Classes Be Held
The classes will be held in person in different municipalities in Goiás, which expands the program’s reach and facilitates access for students from various regions.
In Goiânia, five classes will be offered. In the countryside, spots will be distributed in the following cities:
ADE SAMPA – São Paulo Development Agency
- Alto Paraíso de Goiás
- Anápolis
- Aparecida de Goiânia
- Catalão
- Itumbiara
- Jataí
- Luziânia
- Mambaí
- Pirenópolis
- Porangatu
- Rio Verde
- Santo Antônio do Descoberto
- Senador Canedo
- Trindade
- Uruana
- Valparaíso de Goiás
In total, there are 17 municipalities covered. Thus, the free robotics course reinforces the decentralization of technological education in the state.
How Does the Selection Process Work?
Registrations must be made exclusively online, through the form provided on the official program website.
The deadline is open until February 24. Selection will occur on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the availability of spots in each class. Therefore, the sooner the candidate registers, the greater the chances of securing a spot.
The first call is scheduled for February 25. Therefore, it is essential for interested parties to follow official information to avoid missing any updates.
As this is a public program aimed at technological inclusion, the initiative seeks to prioritize students in situations of social vulnerability and broaden access to technology training in the state of Goiás.
Is There a Certificate?
The course is part of a state program developed in partnership with the Federal Institute of Goiás, an institution recognized for offering technical and technological education.
Thus, participants will have access to a structured education within a consolidated educational environment.
