Mercado Livre and the focus on diversity

According to the company, when creating the project, a special effort was made for inclusion. In this sense, 50% of the scholarships were reserved for those candidates who identify as female or who are self-declared black and brown.

Demand for people in the area tends to increase

This program of Mercado Livre in partnership with Rocketseat comes at a crucial time for the area. This is because, according to the Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies (Brasscom), the sector will need professionals.

According to the entity's survey, by next year the demand for technology professionals will reach almost 800 thousand in Brazil. However, more than 60% of these vacancies may remain unfilled. The reason: lack of qualifications.
