The model promises to combine the benefits of quantum dots in QLED and light control in OLED to deliver a nearly infinite contrast with top-notch brightness. There are up to 5,000 nits of brightness in HDR, and a contrast ratio of 50,000,000:1, according to the manufacturer.
The TCL X955 Smart TV will also feature Game Accelerator, FreeSync Premium Pro, and a panel that reaches 144 Hz in VRR. The sound system of the model with QLED technology is provided by Onkyo and supports Dolby Atmos and DTS: Virtual X.

TCL Also Announces C855 and C755 Models
The C855 would be, among the conventional 4K models, the flagship of the brand in the 2024 lineup. Available in versions of 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches, the TCL Smart TV also features QLED technology to deliver high levels of contrast and brightness.
For gamers, VRR technology combined with the 144 Hz refresh rate should deliver more detail and smoother images. The C855 comes to succeed the C845, launched last year, and competes directly with lines like Samsung’s Neo QLED and LG’s QNED, which also feature mini LED quantum dots.
The C755 also features a QD-Mini LED panel with more than 500 lighting zones and HDR with a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits. The refresh rate matches the 144 Hz with VRR support. The model is available in more size options, starting at 50 inches and going up to 55, 65, 75, and 85. It succeeds the C745.
Other TCL Smart TV Models to Compete with Samsung
The C655 is a mid-range model that brings some elements of premium smart TVs to a more budget-friendly line. With a QLED screen, the TCL Smart TV promises high color accuracy and good brightness levels.
The television also guarantees the use of AI to improve color, motion, clarity, contrast, and HDR. It is available in sizes of 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches, and is considered the successor to the C645. The model is expected to rival Samsung’s QLED line and the more basic model of LG’s QNED line.
The P755 is a model from the basic line that promises to deliver mid-range features. With 4K resolution, it has a refresh rate of 120 Hz that reaches 144 Hz in VRR, supporting Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos with DTS Virtual. It is available in sizes of 43’’, 50’’, 55’’, 65’’, 75’’, and 98”.
