Brazilian Multinational Expands Global Presence with Strategic Supply for Leading Commercial Vehicle Manufacturer

The Brazilian multinational Tupy, headquartered in Joinville (SC), officially announced on June 4, 2025, a new strategic contract that may yield approximately R$200 million per year.

The company was selected by one of the largest commercial vehicle manufacturers in the world, whose name remains confidential, to manufacture 13-liter engine blocks used in next-generation heavy trucks.

This new contract not only reinforces the confidence placed in Tupy’s engineering but also represents a landmark in its operations in the North American market.

The supply will take place through the company’s industrial unit located in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.

The agreement stipulates that these blocks will replace parts that were previously imported from Europe, highlighting a significant change in the global supply chain of the manufacturer.

Expansion of Partnership Initiated in 2023 Generates Strategic Gains

It is worth noting that in 2023, this same international manufacturer had already signed another contract with Tupy for the supply of cylinder heads intended for the same engines.

Thus, the continuity of the partnership not only proves the technical quality of the Brazilian manufacturer but also highlights a solidified long-term strategy between both companies.

According to Tupy’s official statement, published as a relevant fact in early June 2025, the new phase of the agreement reaffirms “the customer’s confidence in the technology and services offered.”

Furthermore, it expands the product portfolio with higher added value.

The decision to centralize the production of the blocks in Mexico further strengthens logistical integration and ensures greater competitiveness against former European suppliers.

New Generation of Engines Hits the Market in 2027

Tupy forecasts that the blocks developed specifically for this project will begin equipping next-generation heavy trucks starting in 2027.

This change represents an important advancement not only for the company but also for the global automotive sector.

The market increasingly seeks energy efficiency and regional production solutions.

By bringing part of the production to North America, Tupy meets a growing demand for industrial solutions closer to consumer hubs.

In addition, it reduces logistical costs and makes the supply chain more efficient.

Thus, the multinational not only reinforces its competitiveness but also expands its operations in one of the largest vehicle markets in the world.

Unit in Mexico Consolidates Internationalization Plan

Tupy’s factory located in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, is proving to be increasingly strategic for the company’s international expansion.

This is because the unit offers technical capacity, a privileged location, and direct access to the North American market.

These three factors are considered essential for the success of the newly announced project.

According to Tupy’s own statement, the investment reaffirms the “company’s commitment to providing higher added value products and services.”

This commitment is realized through plants with strategic locations.

The consolidation of this presence outside Brazil is part of Tupy’s long-term plan.

The objective is to diversify revenues, expand its customer base, and strengthen its global operations with a focus on technology and industrial innovation.

Contract Expands Competitiveness and Reinforces Confidence in the Automotive Sector

This new contract, signed in June 2025, represents another important step in Tupy’s journey towards global leadership in engine components.
Moreover, the alliance with an international manufacturer clearly confirms the technological maturity that the company has demonstrated over the years.
Thus, in this context, Tupy has consistently invested in innovation and, furthermore, in advanced engineering, reinforcing its global expansion strategy.
As a result, the Brazilian multinational strengthens its presence in North America while simultaneously projecting a new phase of sustainable growth.
Finally, by anticipating trends and operating excellently across several continents, Tupy reaffirms its position as a reliable supplier in the global automotive sector.

After all, it is no coincidence that such demanding clients trust their new generations of products to a company with 100% Brazilian DNA.
