Oceaneering International, a U.S. underwater engineering company, secured multiple important contracts with Petrobras. The agreements total an expected revenue of approximately US$ 180 million. The achievement for the technology giant occurred after a competitive bidding process.
Details of the Million-Dollar Agreement with Petrobras
The Brazilian subsidiary of Oceaneering, Marine Production Systems do Brasil (MPS), was the winner of the contracts. The negotiation occurred in the second quarter of 2025. The supply includes remotely operated vehicle (ROV) class services. It also encompasses specialized tool packages and research services. These will be conducted aboard vessels supporting Petrobras projects on the Brazilian coast.
Scope of Services Contracted by Petrobras
The scopes of work are extensive. They include ROV support for Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair (IRM) activities. The decommissioning of structures is also part of the agreement. In addition, the services cover surface and underwater positioning. Connections of floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) units, mooring inspections, and pile installations are included in the package.

Terms and Duration of the New Contracts
Each contract has a duration of four years, with options for extension. The start of operations is staggered. Activities will begin on varied dates in the third and fourth quarters of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

Oceaneering’s Presence in Brazil and Around the World
Oceaneering has been operating in Brazil for nearly three decades through MPS. The company runs various facilities in the country. It has a center for ROV, survey, and subsea intervention tools in Macaé. It also maintains a umbilical factory in Niterói. Globally, the company continues to secure important agreements, such as the recent contract with ExxonMobil in Angola, with estimated revenue between US$ 80 million and US$ 90 million.
