Theme Will Be Presented by Five Professors of the Federal University of Pará, This Friday, in Free Webinar
Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Independent Oil and Gas Producers (ABPIP), the October ABPIP Inova will address “Research in Mineral Characterization, Geology, Petrophysics, and Petroleum Engineering at UFPA.” The free webinar will be held this Friday, October 28, at 5 PM, featuring professors Dr. Simone Patrícia Aranha da Paz and Dr. Rômulo Simões Angélica from Mineral Science and Engineering (GCEM); Dr. Afonso Cesar Rodrigues Nogueira from Sedimentary Basin Analysis of the Amazon (GSED); Dr. José Jadson Sampaio de Figueiredo from the Rock Physics Laboratory (LPFR); and Dr. Cláudio Regis dos Santos Lucas from the Petroleum Science and Engineering Laboratory (LCPetro). Access will be via YouTube, through the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCywW6uf207iwAogrZbW_CVw.
On this occasion, details of the studies developed and the lines of research focused on Geology, Geophysics, and Flow in Porous Media applied to the oil industry will be presented. The laboratories and research groups at UFPA are involved in human resources training and research development in the areas of synthesis and mineral characterization, characterization of petroleum systems, determination of petrophysical properties, and reactive and non-reactive flow in porous media aimed at meeting the demands of the productive sector of the oil and gas industry.
The ABPIP Inova series began in 2021, with the goal of developing joint actions for academia-industry integration to disseminate knowledge in the areas of innovation and technology. The virtual seminars are held monthly through the YouTube channel of the Association.
