A Renowned Swedish Company Collaborates With Partners at the Leading Wind Energy Exhibition in Latin America Seeking a Greener Future.
São Paulo became the center of attention in the renewable energy sector from September 12 to 14, hosting the major event Brazil WindPower, the most important wind energy fair in Latin America. At the forefront of innovations was SKF, a Swedish giant operating in over 40 industrial segments. This was the perfect occasion for the company to debut its presence at the fair.
Wind Innovations on the Horizon
This time, the spotlight of the event focused on the congress dedicated to offshore and emerging advancements, such as the intriguing green hydrogen. For SKF, this event meant more than just a booth to showcase products. It was a platform to demonstrate commitment to the circular economy and sustainability. In particular, the company stood out in promoting products for the wind energy sector, emphasizing asset monitoring and, notably, services to optimize and recondition lubricants.
Silas Santana, the prominent Industrial Commercial Director of SKF in Brazil, pointed out that his participation in Brazil WindPower was not merely a formality. It was a statement of their unwavering commitment to sustainability. “This is where SKF registers more victories in reducing CO². Being present at Brazil WindPower is a way to support the expansion of clean energy production in Brazilian territory and also to highlight the circular economy deeply rooted in our operations,” declared Santana.

Among them are advanced lubrication systems, enhanced monitoring methods, and technologies like the IMx-8, designed to alert about maintenance needs in vital components.
During the fair, several innovations were showcased: from the Pitch Bearing, repotentialized Bearing at the Solution Factory to the remarkable RecondOil Box. The REP Center, a specialized wing of SKF, has a team of experts prepared to evaluate information provided by machines and conduct precise diagnostics. Santana emphasizes, “When a component needs to be replaced, we don’t discard it. Our Solution Factory performs a complete restoration, transforming what would be waste into something with the same warranty as a new item.”
Enduring Commitment to Clean Energy
SKF not only showcased products but also demonstrated a comprehensive portfolio of solutions, from innovative bearings to sophisticated monitoring systems and reliability services. All reflecting the company’s commitment to reducing the CO² footprint and promoting a more sustainable industry.
