Engine Options for the New Chery Arrizo 8
The Chery Arrizo 8 offers two engine options: a 1.6 turbo four-cylinder, with 197 horsepower and 29.7 kgfm of torque, and a hybrid configuration with a 1.5 turbo engine and two electric motors, totaling approximately 300 horsepower and 45 kgfm of torque. The latter accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 6 seconds and averages 32 km/l of gasoline.
Interior and Safety
Inside, the Chery Arrizo 8 is a true spaceship. With a futuristic design and sophisticated finish, it comfortably accommodates five adults. Among the features, highlights include a sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, a premium sound system, ambient LED lighting, and a 12.3-inch digital panel. In Brazil, There Is Still No Confirmation of Its Arrival
Launched in China in 2022, the Chery Arrizo 8 aims to compete with models like Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Ford Fusion, but at a much lower cost. In Brazil, there is still no confirmation of its arrival, but considering Chery’s investments in the country, represented by Caoa, it is possible that the model will land here, especially the hybrid version, which would benefit from tax incentives.
Currently, the top-of-the-line Toyota Corolla Altis Premium hybrid costs around R$ 198,900, while the Chery Arrizo 8 could arrive in Brazil in the range of R$ 200,000 for the 1.6 turbo version and R$ 230,000 for the plug-in hybrid configuration. Compared to competitors like the Volkswagen Jetta GLI and larger sedans such as the Honda Accord Hybrid and Toyota Camry Hybrid, which cost over R$ 300,000, the Chery Arrizo 8 would be a very competitive option.
