Since the first half of the year, agriculture in Paraná has clearly been a priority of the state administration, with R$ 730.91 million committed between January and June 2025, the highest amount in the country.
This investment exceeds R$ 570 million from Rio Grande do Sul and R$ 438 million from São Paulo, according to a report from the Department of Finance, as per an article published.
The total represents an increase of 28.7% compared to the previous record of R$ 568 million in 2024. Below, we detail how this funding was distributed among strategic programs.

This amount covers works such as rural roads, purchase of machinery for 397 municipalities and eight intermunicipal consortia.
The Irriga Paraná program, included in this amount, aims to increase irrigated areas in the state by 20%, reinforcing agricultural production with strategic resources.

Paraná leads in the allocation of resources for agriculture, with R$ 730.91 million committed.
Next are Rio Grande do Sul (R$ 570 million), Santa Catarina (R$ 534 million), and São Paulo (R$ 438 million).
Also listed are Bahia (R$ 390 million), Ceará (R$ 374 million), Piauí (R$ 366 million), Minas Gerais (R$ 348 million), Rio de Janeiro (R$ 319 million), and Espírito Santo (R$ 301 million). This state leadership stands out in the national panorama.
Support for Family Agriculture in Paraná and State Supply Programs
In total allocation, 45.5% of the funds, equivalent to R$ 333 million, were directed to promoting agricultural production, focusing on strengthening local chains and food security.
There were also R$ 106.9 million applied in supply actions: maintenance of Ceasas, programs like Leite das Crianças and Direct Purchase, which acquire products from cooperatives for popular restaurants, hospitals, and community kitchens.
State Public Financing for Agriculture and Local Sustainability
The Paraná administration highlights that this historic contribution is a result of fiscal discipline and administrative modernization, allowing for solid state public financing.
According to the Secretary of Finance, Norberto Ortigara, the balance of public accounts enables investment in strategic sectors.
The Secretary of Agriculture, Márcio Nunes, points out that key factors include efficient environmental licensing, strong sanitary defense, and robust tax incentives. This set of factors promotes regional sustainability and the productive chain.
