LPC Latina Wins Bid for Geotechnical Instrumentation with the Resumption of the Construction of the Line 6-Laranja of the São Paulo Metro
In São Paulo, another step has been taken for the resumption of Line 6-Laranja, whose construction has been halted for three years, with only 15% of the line’s construction completed. The Metro has just selected the company Latina Projetos Civis, the winning bidder, for the geotechnical instrumentation of the line. The construction is expected to resume later this year.
From now on, LPC Latina will be responsible for soil analysis at the construction sites along the entire route, which will connect Brasilândia to the city center, up to the São Joaquim station.

If you are a resident of the area, stay alert as excellent job opportunities will soon be announced to support the construction project for the Line 6-Laranja of the São Paulo Metro.
Resumption
It is worth remembering that the deadline for the expiration of the concession contract is November 11. The date was changed because three international business groups formalized proposals for the acquisition of the consortium Move São Paulo’s stake in the Public-Private Partnership (PPP).
With the extension until November, the concessionaire Move São Paulo will remain responsible for the maintenance and preservation of safety at the construction sites and the properties linked to the concession.
According to the administration of João Doria (PSDB), the goal is to complete the works by 2025. Eight new stations (8.3 km in length) will be built up to the Penha neighborhood in the East Zone of Greater São Paulo.
According to the government, R$ 5.5 billion will be invested in the section. Part of this amount has already been used for the expropriation of 96% of the 226 properties needed for the work.
Remembering
The contract is with the Move São Paulo Consortium, responsible for the construction of Line 6 Laranja of the Metro (Vila Brasilândia/São Joaquim).
The Move São Paulo Consortium, formed by the companies Odebrecht, Queiroz Galvão, and UTC, took over the construction contract in 2015 but delivered only 15% of the works before halting services on September 2, 2016.
In 2014, the government completed the bidding process for the project, which was divided into eight lots. Land in the surrounding area began to be expropriated.
In 2016, however, the Metro decided to suspend construction due to budgetary difficulties. At the time, the government stated that it would prioritize projects already in progress. Since then, expansion works have been stalled.
